Black Flight Attendants of America (BFAOA), Inc. is a nonprofit organization founded in 1974 by professional men and women, and its goals are to promote and foster racial ethnic diversity and necessary skills to compete in the aviation industry.

Membership is open to all who share our common goal of "SERVING THE SKIES AND THE COMMUNITY" WHILE EXPOSING YOUTH TO "CAREERS IN AVIATION".  Members continue to mentor and volunteer in their perspective communities throughout the country and across the globe.

The organization provides on-going programs to the community through events and volunteerism at local schools, hospitals and community functions, through tutoring and participation.

Often while working with The Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals, Inc. (OBAP) across the country, BFAOA Inc., has volunteered in ACE camps, Boy Scout Track and Field events and most notably The LA Marathon for over 30 years.  MLK Hospital (for over 40 years) has been the recipient of Christmas Carols, toys and now a reading corner in the Social Service Department waiting room can be seen and utilized when children go in for medical appointments.
